This
course provides the basic concepts of control systems; open and closed–loop,
continuous and discontinuous systems, transducers, error detectors, feed–back,
block diagrams, transfer function, and stability. The course also covers, time
response of first and second order systems, system response to different inputs
using Laplace transform. Applications such as frequency and voltage control of
generators as well as speed control of DC motors, and position control are
discussed
